Sean Daniel Fitzpatrick of Spectrum Apartments in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse via a live video link.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing police raided the 18 year old’s home just before 7.30am on May 6 and found 42.1 grammes of the class A drug split into 14 wraps.
The court heard the drugs had a street value of between £5,000 and £10,000 depending on their purity when sold.
Fitzpatrick admitted one count of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply them, and magistrates said the case was too serious to be sentenced by a summary court – adding sentencing guidelines suggested a jail term of between seven and nine years.
They remanded him in custody and committed him to the Court of General Gaol Delivery where he’ll be sentenced on May 18.
