    Teenager granted bail

A 17-year-old has been granted bail after being charged with grievous bodily harm.

Liam Priestnal of Douglas appeared at Douglas Courthouse this morning for a bail review following an incident in the early hours of last Saturday.

He's accused of attacking 33-year-old father-of-three Darryl McGeown on Loch Promenade in Douglas.

The Peel man was transferred to the UK last weekend after sustaining life-threatening head injuries. He remains in a critical condition at Walton Hospital in Merseyside.

The accused was granted bail on a number of conditions and the case will resume on February 12th.
