Tynwald has backed the banning of ten commonly used single-use plastic items in 2023.
Regulations mean it'll be illegal for businesses to sell or supply certain items, which have a sustainable alternative.
Items include single-use plastic straws, carrier bags, cutlery, and food and drink containers made from expanded polystyrene.
Businesses will have a year to prepare before the ban comes into force.
You can find more information about the regulations on the government's plastic webpage.
