Tynwald has approved funding for creating a new Isle of Man ferry terminal in Liverpool, despite the cost of constructing it increasing by around £6.5million.
Infrastructure Minister, Ray Harmer MHK, received the financial backing of £26.8million after court members voted in favour of it on Wednesday and it also received support from Legislative Council.
Douglas South MHK Kate Beecroft had put forward a motion to adjourn the vote to study details of the changes - however the motion failed to carry.
The facility, which would be built at the Prince's Half Tide Dock, is estimated to open in 2021.
