Isle of Man Bank has emailed its customers warning them not to fall for a con targeting local residents.
The bank says text messages are being sent in its name asking people to call a phone number or click on a link.
And it says the messages can look as though they're being sent from the company, but people shouldn't click on the links.
Its advice is to contact the bank directly using the phone number found in the phone book.
