The DEFA says they could save you £250 a year

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture say they could save you over £250 a year.

The DEFA is launching an energy efficiency scheme in the hopes to help cut down bills and the amount of fossil fuels used by Island residents and businesses.

Minister Geoffrey Boot says the project is in line with Tynwald's targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address threats posed by climate change.

The scheme consists of a free telephone hotline and website with information to outline steps people can take to reduce carbon footprint.
