Thirty-year-old charged with GBH with intent

Accused named as Matthew Smith-Williams, injured man named as Robert Lee Quinney

The man charged with committing Grievous Bodily Harm on a 42 year old in Castletown has been named as Matthew Smith-Williams.

It relates to the incident in Malew Street last week.

30-year-old Smith-Williams appeared in court over the weekend, he was remanded in custody and will be re-appear before the Deputy High Bailiff tomorrow.

The injured man Robert Lee Quinney remains in hospital with serious injuries.

His family have requested that the public respect their privacy at this time.
