    Thousands of pounds worth of fines handed down for national insurance and tax issues

    Over £20,000 worth of fines have been distributed by the Treasury to seven companies on Island in relation to failure to pay National Insurance contributions for employees.

    Over £20,000 worth of fines have been distributed by the Treasury to seven companies on Island in relation to failure to pay National Insurance contributions for employees.

    Each business will have to pay £125 court costs on top of the fines.

    With regards to failing to submit their tax returns on time 9 individuals have been handed substantial fines totalling just shy of £4000.

    The fines range from £100 - £500.
