Firefighters were called out to Crosby yesterday to tackle a fire in a mechanical digger.
The incident happened just before 3pm at The Top Road when the blaze broke out on the excavator in the road.
Three fire crews put out the fire.
They spent 45 minutes dampening down the area and making sure the vehicle was safe.
