Tick warning from public health

There's a warning about picking up a potentially serious infection if you're out in the Island's countryside this summer.

Public Health Isle of Man says ticks are most active this time of year, and can transmit Lyme disease.

The organisation is reminding people to check themselves and their pets for ticks after they've been outdoors.

It says you should check particularly carefully after going through tall grass or woodlands.
