Plans to introduce identity checks for sea passengers could be "very damaging" to the Island and deter people from travelling here.
That's according to TravelWatch which says it's concerned government's plans have 'escaped public notice' - a consultation on the issue ends on February 12th.
The passenger watchdog believes there's a lack of evidence to suggest that change is needed and thinks increased security measures could lead to delays.
Chairman Brendan O'Friel says any costs incurred in changing the system will "undoubtedly" fall onto the traveller and says it's all about 'balance':
