    Treasury Minister says Island's immigration service is 'busier than ever'

    Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says the Island's immigration service is busier than ever - and the increased demand looks to be permanent.

    In the House of Keys yesterday, he faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about immigration applications.

    Mr Allinson said since Brexit, there's been a fivefold increase in the number of people applying for visas, with 4,451 applications last year alone.

    And he said immigration officers are dealing with hundreds of applications:
