Douglas South MHK Claire Christian will quiz the Treasury Minister in Tynwald next week as to what assessment has so far been made.
It comes as Jersey now offers a Community Costs Bonus, which is an annual payment of £516.50, to those just above the Income Support level to help with food costs.
Tynwald sits at 10:30am on Tuesday.
