Treasury spends more than £55,000 placing public notices in newspapers

The Treasury has spent more than £55,000 placing public notices in newspapers in the past seven years.

The figure was revealed in response to a Freedom of Information request.

2012 and 2013 made up half of the total amount -  the Treasury spent more than £25,000 in just two years.

The notices include job advertisements, website notices and expressions on interest.
