A Peel man accused of assaulting an unconscious man outside a Douglas pub will stand trial.
21-year- old Curtis Phillips, of Close Quane, appeared at Douglas Courthouse on Thursday.
He entered a not guilty plea to affray, which reportedly happened on June 9th outside the Victoria Tavern in Douglas.
It's alleged he knocked a man out by punching him in the head and then continued the assault whilst he was on the ground.
Committal proceedings, where the case is elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery, will take place on August 31st; he's been bailed until that date.
