Trial for teen on death by dangerous driving charge

An Onchan teenager who's been accused of causing death by dangerous driving has been committed to stand trial.

18-year-old Brandon Gowland appeared before the Deputy High Bailiff at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.

He's accused of causing the death of fellow teenager 17-year-old Brad Campbell on August 24th last year.

It follows a car crash on the Foxdale Road near to the Archallagan Plantation - Gowland has also been charged with causing serious bodily harm to another person in the vehicle.

His next court date is yet to be set - in the meantime he has been bailed.
