    TT safety campaign urging riders to 'meet their mates, not their maker'

    TT 2010 saw a slight reduction in collisions on the previous year; they’re hoping to build on that once again.

    This years TT road safety campaign is urging people to meet their mates not their maker.

    The last two campaigns have featured hard-hitting images of crash scenes, this year they’re taking a different approach, referencing the friendly, social and fun side of the festival.

    As part of the safety campaign the Mountain Road one-way system is being re-introduced, with the road safety message being reinforced by billboards on the TT course, radio advertisements and general information leaflets.

    Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne hopes the latest campaign will serve its purpose and make people think seriously about reckless riding.
