John McGuinness finishes 50th TT race in 2nd place
Today should have been a day of no racing but due to yesterday’s rain both the Supersport, the sidecars and the TT zero lap have all taken place today.
In the Supersport we saw Gary Johnson take his first TT victory after a really strong performance, John Mcguinness came in second with Guy Martin getting yet another podium finish but still missing that top spot, settling for third.
We spoke to Gary in the post race conference, he said he is thrilled to get his first win, but needs to concentrate on tomorrows big race.
It was a big day for John McGuinness who celebrated his 50th TT finish.
In the sidecars John Holden and Andrew Winkle produced a dramatic finish after Klaus Klaffenbock and Dan Sayle encountered problems whilst leading the race, Conrad Harrison and Mike Aylott came second, with Tony Elmer and Darren Marshall finishing third.
Klaffenbock and Sayle had to settle for the 6th place
Tomorrow's 6 lap senior race will be getting underway at 12.15pm
