A local charity is organising a street collection to help those in Turkey and Syria devastated by earthquakes.
'The One World Centre' is raising funds for the countries following an appeal from the Disaster Emergency Committee - with more than 21,000 people confirmed dead so far.
There are fears this number will escalate significantly, leaving hundreds of thousands of people in urgent need of shelter, food and medical care.
The charity says freezing temperatures and damaged infrastructure are making the situation even more difficult for survivors.
A street collection will take place in Douglas this weekend, with collectors in Tesco, the town centre, as well as at Douglas and Ramsey Shoprite stores on Sunday.
