Two ASBO charges against Peel man withdrawn

A teenager from Peel facing five charges of breaching an anti-social behaviour order has had two counts withdrawn.

Connor John Lewis of Queens Drive West appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.

Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing a police officer was due to give evidence about two alleged breaches in May at a trial but couldn’t do so because they are on leave for three months.

He withdrew two counts - 18 year old Mr Lewis denies another three breaches, all said to have taken place on April 14.

Magistrates bailed him in the sum of £500 and he’ll appear in court again on August 12.
