Boat owners on the Island will soon have to register their craft, as the government brings in new regulations.
The Department of Infrastructure brought in new laws about boats in 2010 to replace legislation dating back to the 1970s.
In Tynwald this month, members will discuss new rules about how pleasure craft are registered - the department says it's to make sure owners pay harbour fees and are accountable for their vessels.
Those with boats will have to pay registration fees, which the department says will cover the costs of the system.
