UK abortion lobby 'will give evidence' to committee over coldcalling survey

    Jasvinder Sanghera

A UK group opposing proposed changes to Manx abortion laws says one of its founders will appear before a House of Keys committee which hasn't been set up yet.

Stop Gendercide says Jasvinder Sanghera will appear before a committee of the whole house to show changing abortion laws means women will have abortions because they don't like their baby's gender.

The body, linked to Congleton's Tory MP Fiona Bruce, was behind a coldcalling phone survey which sparked a warning from Manx police earlier this year.

The founder of Stop Gendercide, failed to change the law in the UK by a large majority in 2015, may appear before the House of Keys if it votes in favour of it when the Abortion Reform Bill is guided through its clauses stage later this morning.
