    Unemployment rate falls to 1.3 per cent

    Unemployment on the Isle of Man has fallen to its lowest level since September 2008.

    At the end of August there were 596 people out of work - it's a drop of 24 from July. 
     
    It means the Island has an unemployment rate of 1.3 per cent - of the people not working 394 are men. 
     
    Unemployment was highest within the construction sector - the highest number of vacancies was recorded in catering and entertainment.
