The workers union representing over 100 bus drivers on the Isle of Man have threatened that industrial action could happen unless changes to the existing timetables are made.
As it stands the workers are unhappy at the changes to their timetables, which have resulted in them spending more time behind the wheel with reduced rest breaks.
The Unite union have been conducting the negotiations on behalf of the workers but say of late their patience has been stretched.
They said as much as they don’t want to cause disruption to the valuable public service, if issues aren’t resolved in the coming weeks it could become a reality.
The Union are urging the public to get behind the frontline staff instead of venting their frustration and anger at them.
They ask anyone with concerns about the existing timetable to contact the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure directly.
