Major success off TT documentary will hopefully bode well come award season
Following the commercial and critical success of TT3D: Closer to the Edge the producers of the high-octane documentary are now moving their attention to the awards season.
The film will be up for nomination for Grierson and BAFTA awards with a special push for a release in the US so it can qualify for Oscar consideration.
Chairman of CinemaNX, Steve Christian, has said they are well on track currently to get it released in America.
He’s described TT3D as CinemaNX’s greatest achievement to date.
The film enjoyed huge success upon its release; it now ranks as one of the top 10 performing documentaries at the UK box office.
It’s expected to generate lots more money and buzz for the Isle of Man when it’s released on DVD on November 7th
