Visits to IOM Prison resumed

Visits to the Isle of Man Prison have resumed again.

Home Affairs Minister, Graham Cregeen MHK, announced the update in the House of Keys today after visits to the Jurby facility were temporarily suspended as a precaution after a self-isolating prisoner tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, October 3.

Mr Cregeen has told MHK's thanks to 'robust and rigorous protocols' to protect inmates, staff and visitors, any potential Coronavirus outbreak was contained.

Any new entrants to the prison are housed in a separate wing for 14 days before joining the wider prison population.
