Volunteer Special Constables praised for their work over TT

The Island's Road Policing Unit has praised volunteer Special Constables for their work over the TT period.

The three volunteers have over 40 years of service between them, and are providing 38 x 12 hour shifts during the racing fortnight.

Across the force, the Special Constabulary have volunteered for 124 duties, working in response, night time economy patrols and special events.

The RPU says the TT is 'a huge event to police for a small force,' and it's amazing that they can contribute so much to it through their small team.
