    Voters think local authority structure is 'irrelevant' says Chief

    Turnout at the Island's local authority elections this week was "entirely predictable".

    That's the message from the Chief Minister who says government has failed to meaningfully reform local government:  
     
     
    Elections were held in six areas - Douglas, Peel, Castletown, Patrick, Port St Mary and Laxey; the latter saw the youngest ever commissioner elected at just 18-years-old.
