Want to be a commissioner on multiple boards?

There's no limit to how many local authorities you can stand for election in, according to Cabinet Office Minister David Ashford.

He faced a question for written reply from Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas about candidates who stand in more than one place.

Mr Ashford said you can't stand in more than one ward of the same local authority - but the law doesn't prevent you standing for different boards of commissioners.

He says he'll consider changing the rules when they're next reviewed.
