A warning has been issued by the Department of Health after a number of higher strength Ecstasy pills have been detected in the Island’s clubs and festivals.
Over the years the pills sold on Island have been made up of amphetamines, caffeine and other stimulants.
The new batch have been found to contain strong chemical MDMA, this combined with people taking higher doses could have fatal consequences.
MDMA was first used to make the drug stronger in the 80s, but over the years the purity and strength has declined significantly.
