WATCH: Castletown racer pipped to SPOTY title

Castletown superbike racer Jonathan Rea has missed out on being named Sports Personality of the Year.

The three-time champion narrowly missed out on the honour after a huge online campaign to propel him to the title.

He's the first rider in the history of the sport to successfully defend his title twice in a row.

Last night, in the live awards ceremony on the BBC, he polled 3,000 fewer votes than Mo Farah to take second place.
