    Weather cancels more ferry sailings

The Steam Packet Company says its sailings have been called off in the face of bad weather today.

The Ben my Chree's Douglas to Heysham crossing at 8.45am and her return trip at 2.15pm have both been cancelled.

Overnight, severe gales and flooding caused problems across the Island - with buildings damaged and trees blown down.

Police say the Mountain Road, which had closed overnight, is now open again.
