Coastguards in the south of the Island were called on to rescue one of the Island's symbols last night.
Port Erin officers were out on exercise on the Calf of Man when staff at the bird observatory asked them to help a young raven.
The bird was trapped in a nest, tangled up in string, wool and other materials.
They freed the bird and handed it over to the Manx Wildlife Trust, which will look after it until it can be released into the wild again.
