A yellow weather warning for snow and ice runs until later this afternoon.
The Met Office says freezing conditions last night meant some snow over hills as well as ice on higher roads.
It says those icy conditions are expected to last for most of the day with sub-zero temperatures on hills.
The weather warning runs until 3pm.
