  • Family Action - Family Support Worker

    Salary: starting at £32,567 FTE per annum, rising to £35,436 FTE per annum

    This is an exciting opportunity to improve outcomes for children and families across all areas
    of the Isle of Man; through working directly with families who need early help and support
    and those with more complex needs.
    Main Responsibilities:
     Continuously assess the needs of children, young people, and their parents;
    supporting a multi-agency approach to assessment and planning.
     Work in a variety of settings, in particular the home environment, to develop realistic
    and achievable action plans, in consultation with children, young people and their
    parents, which are based on their assessed needs and written in a way that is easy
    for them to understand.
     Agree targets, in consultation parents and children, and monitor, evaluate and
    measure progress against them. Capture evidence of the distance travelled in terms
    of positive changes, using the Family Star (outcomes measurement tool).
    Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
     Interest in improving outcomes for children and families across all areas of the Isle of
    Man.
     Experience relevant for your effectiveness in the role would need to have been
    gained from working with children and families in their own home, or in an
    educational setting.
     Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from
    the Disclosure and Barring Service – Children’s Barred List

    As a Supervised Contact Centre Facilitator, you will oversee sessions for children and their
    parents to have time together, supervised at all times. You will ensure that families are
    welcomed and supported when they attend. An open-minded, flexible and caring approach
    towards parents and children is required. You will ensure that children are kept safe and that
    their emotional wellbeing is prioritised at all times.
    Main Responsibilities:
     Support the delivery of safe and effective supervised contact sessions.
     Assess the quality of parenting observed during the supervised contact and use this
    evidence to complete reports as required by the Court or social worker.
     Recognise any risk of harm and intervene appropriately to reduce risks or bring in
    additional support as required, to safeguard the child/ren.

     Educated to level three or above with a recognised professional qualification in social
    work, health, education or equivalent.
     full driving licence and business insurance.

  • Tooms Bros - Construction Administrative Coordinator

    This role will include uploading data and maintaining schedules and work sequencing, pre-commencement activities, including surveys, issue identification, liaising with third parties and scheduling property inspections.

    Organisational skills, computer literacy, and working to deadlines are essential for this role. The successful candidate must also have a level of administrative and managerial experience, as well as a full driving licence.

    This position is a full-time role, however there could be flexibility for the right candidate. Construction based experience isn’t essential however a level of admin and managerial experience is required.
