DEFA hands food and drink marketing to DfE

The government says it's changing the way it markets the Island's food and drink businesses.

In the past, it was the responsibility of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture - but in future it'll be done by the Department for Enterprise.

DEFA will still regulate the sector, overseeing production facilities.

A 100-day handover plan will start in April, when "made in the Isle of Man" labelling will be reviewed in consultation with industry.
