After a very tough year, the Island is in a good place moving into 2024.
That's the verdict from the Chief Minister Alf Cannan, who said it's been a transitional year as we've all felt the impact of rising inflation and the resulting cost of living crisis.
He said since coming into office in 2021 his administration have had their fair share of crisis situations to respond to.
He said he has a very clear idea of what needs to happen next year to put the Island on a better footing:
High street building up for sale
Santas on a Bike has raised over £22k weeks before event
Air Ambulance patients need photo ID
Kids can design the police's Christmas card
